When sewers embrace what is more important The neighbors to the left have their sprinklers set for midnight, they kick on mid cigarette. Some miss their mark giving the driveway a drink. Gutters collect this essence of life, streaming building blocks that chance upon no use but to be given back to the Earth and play the waiting game of finding a purpose. "Maybe next time" gravity says, concrete says, night says, I say, watching the world pull it beneath its dark again asking, how can you believe in worth? |

Hi, Joe! Long time no read! Now this is a curious write, indeed! It could only have been written by a poet who sees and thinks beyond the "Average Joe". Forgive me, for that! I couldn't help myself! Giving you a warm hug and a smile, Linda |
