You bore down upon me, the bend of a river aged and in need of yet another brushing of wandering logs and tickled shorelines. A time when the blowing of a horn arose the dead and made an eye dance in startled amazement... Might I, I ask in a moment of query when clouds hung lingerinly still and a shadow stirred the mounds of sand and shore. Might I have one last dance before the ebb of my tide overcomes the gallant heart awaiting a steed's restless wander.... For...it is my soul dear heart that has caught me in this moment of life before all is gone and that which is left is but a smattering of dust.... Just that and the dance your eyes give me.... when all is gone and the moon seeks your smile once more. [This message has been edited by Magnus (08-31-2008 06:59 PM).] |

"For...it is my soul dear heart that has caught me in this moment of life before all is gone and that which is left is but a smattering of dust...." ~ Those lines were especially meaningful to me. I understand them only too well. Love to you, Poet Man, Linda |

Now that is what I call wearing it on your sleeve and you sir have grown since coming here in your writing. I especially liked the following verse ... -------------------------------------------- Might I, I ask in a moment of query when clouds hung lingerinly still and a shadow stirred the mounds of sand and shore. Might I have one last dance before the ebb of my tide overcomes the gallant heart awaiting a steed's restless wander.... --------------------------------------------- Golden words here my sir Magnus and a true pleasure to read. |

Might I have one last dance before the ebb of my tide overcomes the gallant heart awaiting a steed's restless wander.... *~* The right partner would be foolish to say no... |

This is a nicely written, enigmatic poem which deserves to be read slowly and lingeringly to appreciate it fully. Do not go gentle into that good night. |

For...it is my soul dear heart that has caught me in this moment of life before all is gone and that which is left is but a smattering of dust.... And a beautiful soul it is, my friend. *S* Love this! |
