I leave the light on, so maybe I'll see you when you get home. If you get home. There's no moon tonight, the dark swallows me hole, the stars little eyes that can see my pain. My breath is shallow, my heart beats slow, and I remember the days when I didn't feel so alone. I can still feel your arms around me, I wondered about your dreams, if you dreamed of me. Nights go by with a relentless hint of the future, The truth right in front of me as the lies unfold, Giving up isn't who I am but it is who you are. I realize that it's over, that what we had is no longer what is, and I turn off the light. |

This is beautiful and sad. This stanza stood out for me... "I can still feel your arms around me, I wondered about your dreams, if you dreamed of me." ·´~`·»Garapan«·´~`· |
