Let's up the ante, raise the stakes,
Are you a gambling man?
Will you risk all on one wheel spin?
Will you play just because you can?

Let's shuffle the deck one more time;
Are aces high or low?
Some you win and some you lose -
A matter of quid pro quo.

A credit card is no use here,
We don't even want your cash;
Only high rollers can play this game -
You win and lose in a flash.

Maybe you know who I am by now -
Everyone else has guessed!
You have till eternity to find out -
As croupiers come, I'm the best!

You played and lost throughout your life
But I always play to win.
Come to the table, you have no choice,
I'll trade you sin for sin.

Maybe you think it's the last chance saloon?
But I give you no chance at all.
The odds are stacked in my favour, you see,
So I am having a ball.

Now let's make a start, you can't say, "No,"
Are you ready to rock and roll?
You pick the game, the prize is the same -
We're playing for your soul!

I really appreciate the gambling in your poem...The atmosphere is astonishing....What are we playing, Life, LOve....However The bet worth it ....

Good Jobber on this one, also. I do like your writing. I'm a mystery buff, not blood and gore. Just something that will sit you on the edge of your seat.
