Mom's Last Words To Felix |

When Felix’s mother was eighty-three, and dying, he came to visit her. As he bent over to say goodbye, and kiss her lips, she raised her hand, and ran it over Felix’s face. She said: “You’re a beautiful man.” Felix held her hand, and said “Thank you Mom”. He left the room, and cried like a baby. Bobby |

Bobby, This - This poem is beautiful. My heart breaks for Felix, and I am so glad that he heard those words. The final words can be the healing words. My father's final words to me were, "I am sorry." Then he went on to say that he respected me because he could never break me. I left and wondered why a parent would want to break a child anyway. But the apology took away years of hurt. Again, wonderful poem --- a real keeper. Alison |

This touching farewell probably had a lot to do with the man Felix finally became. In spite of my mother's actions I always felt that she loved me. I think the harder the lessons we have to learn, the nearer we are to graduation. Ida |

Alison, Felix was lucky that way. Mom never had to apoligize for anything. She was always a very kind and loving sweetheart. I'm very glad this poem worked for you Hon. Bobby |

Juju, I'm sorry if this made you sad. Looking back at it, Felix doesn't find it sad at all. Mom worked all her life, and she went to a better place. Bobby |

Bobby Felix was so lucky, I never got to say anything to my Mum before she went, it was too late when I found her, the sad part is that we had a disagreement a day or 2 before & we never made it up and xmas came 4 days later..... |

Thanks Bobby, I know you mean it my friend, it was 10 years ago now, time, healing, you know how it goe's. I beat myself up for a long time then realised that She would not want that & it was not going to change anything. Rhiannon was 2 years old the following January so I at least had another focus. I am Ok with it now....I have my memories, Take it easy, John |

I found this very touching. Felix`s mother was a great woman. |
