OR IS IT? If I gave you the world With all its gold and treasure It still would not compare TO my love you cannot measure. There is nothing that means more Than feelings from the heart The constant love I have for you Whether together or apart. The riches of the world can bring A multitude of joys Objects you may think you need And things that are just toys. But they cannot give to you A tender loving touch Or buy the words from one who cares "I love you very much" Everybody has their dreams And I have my dream too Heading up my list of wishes Is to spend my life with you. To fill the years that we have left With joy and happiness To give you love you've never known But that's not enough, I guess. We close our eyes, say this can't be This isn't what I want But, it will come back someday To tease us and to haunt. It's best to face it at the time Don't put it on a shelf Cause we're not fooling anyone Especially not ourself. My truth is, that I love you I want you here with me The painful part of it all Is knowing it can't be.
