In the times when things get tough
and it's just too dark to see,
when the roadway isn't wide enough,
the shoulder is muddy and prickily

God sends an angel down.

In the times when hope runs out
and you just can't see the light,
when your dreams are lost in doubt
and you wake up full of fright

God sends an angel down.

In the times when you feel alone
you just need to stop and turn around,
it's probable you're not on your own
because God sent an angel down.

I'm telling you this because I know it's true,
even someone like me was sent an angel too.

Lovely, Dixie, but I've a feeling that some angels have a wicked sense of humour let leads us a merry dance within this maze of life. If I had a choice I'd like the serious kind of angel for a change.
