Though I have no means nor power, I see my star in the Heavens. Hurtling, Frantically searching for its final resting place. Like it I shine, Seeking my home I doubt I will get there, Through no fault of my own I blame convenient destiny. In the distance there is laughter Yet I choke amongst my self-brooding smoke Alas I have succumbed to the ways of the world. |

You see the star, yet you fear not finding the way "up there" ... yes this is a worldly fear. Maybe lingering a little longer on the vision you may find answers and put aside doubt. Mysteries will unfold in time, I guess. Loved your ponderings. love Margherita |

the ways of the world are many and varied.... and wishes are made on fallen stars....and that is a great gift... i like this poem because im always wishing on falling stars...and always appreciating every moment of being earthbound and mere mortal... and knowing that closing my eyes and dreaming is as close to home as i'll ever be ![]() |
