Lately I put up fronts.
Wear masks of okay.
Most people think I'm doing fine
but really I hate the day.

Society and economy.
I'm borderline insane.
A breaking point.
A life mundane.

And really if not
for certain folks
I'd be outta here
without much coax.

I love my girls.
Can't leave them like my mom left me.
But there's a dark horizon here
and there's nothing much else to see.

I try. And try.
Who will love me now?
Defeat seems fate
should I gracefully bow?

Or keep going on day after day
hating the breathing,
when people are much too uncaring
and moreso deceiving

but I try. If only for my girls, I try.

You got to hang in there for the girls, your time will come & then you can go for it big time....But I just realised, come the day they will be asking you..where you going, who with, what time will you be home etc....payback time I guess !

Again...two things come to mind:

1.  Apparently one expression that Winston
    Churchill favored was "Keep buggering on!"
    [he was plagued by what he called his
     'black dog' (life-long depression)
     and, by his 50's was pretty much
     'written off' as a failure...yet,
     look what he went on the accomplish!]

2. That grand German painting (the "Krahe")
   which features a v. weather-worn crow
   (wearing boots) steadfastly trudging
   across seemingly endless cornfields.
