They Push Me On There is no reprieve from dreams, it seems, no matter how late I close my eyes, or how early I might arise, there is no pardon from thoughtful sighs that come to me in these, my dreams. They push me on, my family with silent whispers, invisible smiles; they gently beguile my fantasies, these seams of my blood and them of not so true blood, people by whom this heart has mingled withal and by such moments recall, others who would simply name them “acquaintance”, or perhaps even “friend”… but to me, they are my family and they push me on. Not every night, no, there are moments where waters flow, oft’times cerulean, other times showing off a wide bottle green sheen where shores ne’er are to be seen, just liquid tenderness all around, allowing a calmness between those loving, pulsing pushes. A final gentle shove becomes a gift of bound reams of eggshell or beige blank pages when pens roll up in the surf to my feet and I laugh with a twinkling thought, wondering where my keyboards clicked off to, on some adventure of their own. In this early morn’s awakening, I caress those thoughts that harbored salty rippling shores in this ever-minding head, having felt hard the inner push from invisible hands, those silent whispers of hard-worn hearts and take my pen in hand. It’s time. © KRJ 2-16-08 |

I have dreams constantly, some good and some bad. I keep looking for the direction to let them push me in. Last night I had a dream about opening a ministry and a church daycare. Hmmmm. I guess we'll see. Beautiful poem and enlightening to me this morning. |

Sunshine, This is well written. It's interesting to see how other people's thought patterns, such as yours, run. I plan to read this again. Bobby |

This is beautiful, my dear lady Sunshine. I read several times. I esp love there is no pardon from thoughtful sighs that come to me in these, my dreams. Not every night, no, there are moments where waters flow, oft’times cerulean, other times showing off a wide bottle green sheen where shores ne’er are to be seen, just liquid tenderness all around, allowing a calmness between those loving, pulsing pushes. I laugh with a twinkling thought, wondering where my keyboards clicked off to, on some adventure of their own. I learned a new word cerulean... Thank you for sharing. Have a nice Sunday!!! |

Dreaming an interesting thing in our lives. Very cool how we can picture those places or things in our mind and somewhat being able to control it. Dreaming is really fun I think.... Thank you for the read Sunshine! ARCTIC WIND |

Sissie....the dream world is another place, although not tangile, very real. A place where you can go far, without moving. They can indeed be wonderful! Your poem's imagery certainly was...especially here: Not every night, no, there are moments where waters flow, oft’times cerulean, other times showing off a wide bottle green sheen where shores ne’er are to be seen, just liquid tenderness all around, allowing a calmness between those loving, pulsing pushes. A final gentle shove becomes a gift of bound reams of eggshell or beige blank pages when pens roll up in the surf to my feet Beautiful! |
