Beyond the Doubt I think my soul is broken if ever that could be true. Too much, too late, too little are those thoughts I have of you. A heart that use to be engaged, a trust once held in hand left now to the shadow's walk, a sort of "Neverland." Trying hard to feel again those emotions of the young. But anger fills the emptiness held back and old of song. I hear them, words that meant so much those years when music played the heartstrings memoried of love before this masquerade... That keeps me tied into the (k)nots caught in the moment's storm, with pages blank of future writes, not taking any form. A Neverland, with corners squared, no opening for "out", a destiny to be fulfilled somewhere beyond the doubt. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

You have written so many ethereal and intensely beautiful pieces over the last few months... beyond hope...there is gratitude. After the thaw, spring comes. |

"Trying hard to feel again those emotions of the young." I think we all want to feel that again but somehow mature emotions must come to one and all and how like the powers that be to put us on course to maturity in a way that doesn't sit too well with us. |

"Trying hard to feel again those emotions of the young." ~ There was a point in my life when I doubted that I could ever experience those feelings again! But I was wrong! I found Spring in the Fall of my life! ~ May this be true for you as well, Maureen! Loving hug, Linda |

I am not sure if we can "try hard to feel those emotions again". When we surrender to what is and keep our heartdoors open, suddenly those emotions flood us, as also dear Linda says. Beautiful, melancholic write, dear Maureen. love and hugs Margherita |

Yes...a soul (or 'spirit') can be broken (often horribly!)...but, one can choose to 'self-heal' it. Ultimately, it really is a personal choice [I TRULY know that of which I speak on this one!]; although, the 'black wolf' ('if only' moments of intense feelings of depression, sadness, nostalgic longing; self-doubt, raging pointlessness, etc.) will never disappear completely... and will likely follow all-too-close to haunt the emotionally wounded forever; however, one can turn this into powerful motivation to become a far better human being and to change at least some tiny portion of this sad 'ol world...if even just one person (or poem) at a time! much applause for this obviously very deeply real, heartfelt, and emotive 'penning!' |

"a trust once held in hand left now to the shadow's walk" Oh, lady Maureen, such is the path of broken hearts. Cherish the 'gems' found along the way, and remain open to the possibility of some future hidden treasure. |
