The rain pours down,
pitter patter,pitter patter,
sounds with every drop,

in constant rhythm,
with heartbeat beating,
in gentle splashes,

released one by one,
from the empty heavens,
solid without stars,

Staining my mind,
with lucid blues,
cascading thoughts,

bountiful waterfalls,
streaming,cleansing,
hanging my soul,

out to dry,
smell, the cleaness,
of a new day.

Very effective metaphorical writing!

The transcendence from melancholia to inspirational was well done!

I loved the positive note that you ended with ~
