Lumpy oatmeal makes me crazy!

Delicate flowers grow on the beach
Wave to dark incoming clouds
Yellow petals bravely proud
Face tides lapping out of reach

Snowflakes fall soft quilted down
Drift slowly, feather touch
Cover ground’s unsightly cuts
Virginal trees lace bridal gowns

Grasses undulate in meadow lands
Waving arms of emerald green
Secrets shared of all they’ve seen
Guarded by Spruce in ancient stands

One world for man and beast to share
Offers precious gift of life
Boundaries smoothed by palette knife
Wounds exposed, then healed with care

Hands join hands over land and sea
Young and old share one dream
Hope shines forth with brilliant sheen
Voices swell in songs of unity

...

Alison

Wonderful! It sounds like a hymn ...

When we are aware of Nature's beauty, hope never dies, as we fill with gratitude.

This ‘penning’ speaks finely
and effectively on several of
my ‘pet topics’…

particularly our responsibility
for the ‘stewardship’ of Gaia
and also about “Universality” !

I am especially fond of imagery
such as those:

Soft-quilted falling snowflakes;

And:

undulating meadowland grasses
guarded by ancient spruce stands

MUCH applause!

Thank you all.

I probably will come back to this one and play with it.  It's not quite what I wanted -  I appreciate you all a lot and love you too.
