The Escence of Beauty |

I have this theory: that beauty just exists because we want it to. From our spirits We just walk around with all our oils and buckets, all our paint brushes and colors, and decorate the universe we want to live in. We do not need to have eyesight, only an awareness of the splendor of our inner spaces. Beauty can only be apprehended through the faculty of imagination and with the eyes of the human heart. When we see beauty in the diversity of life on Earth, in those we care about and love, in all of Creation, it is only a reflection of the beauty we possess within ourselves. It is true that many still think that the Sun can't shine at Midnite--- -but of course we know better. Why, even Smiling Ali knows (not my nose) as perhaps those who have known the severe and savage beauty of the North, those who can imagine the cosmic sweep of Time, and those who can apprehend the mind paralyzing distances between the stars. Southern Cross Note: My email notification is not working even when I check the box for that. So I am not going to hear back anything. Why get up if you don't have to? |

a most fine 'Universal' write! I am especially fond of: "We do not need to have eyesight, only an awareness of the splendor of our inner spaces. Beauty can only be apprehended through the faculty of imagination and with the eyes of the human heart. When we see beauty in the diversity of life on Earth, in those we care about and love, in all of Creation, it is only a reflection of the beauty we possess within ourselves(!)" very serious and long-sustained applause!! ~ |

I'll show my ignorance here, and ask: Who's this "Smiling Ali" that you're so dismissive of? Bobby |

Grinning here, wondering our Alison has read this yet? Yes indeed, the sun shines at midnight (in summer)within the Arctic circle. You've created a wondrous bit of magic with this write, amigo. |

We just walk around with all our oils and buckets, all our paint brushes and colors, and decorate the universe we want to live in. --- Jaime, I believe what you believe is beautiful. I also believe that we all 'see' in different ways. If my words show you my photographs, I AM smiling. You have shown us great introspection and observations. Thank you for writing, sharing and seeing the world I live in. Your friend, Ali |
