Certain terms throwing sparks cause a flame to ignite in the brush of a poetic day, where the tinder has lain drying out for some time lacking something of worth one might say. That these hands fan the fire is as much a surprise to the author as one who might read, for there've been many ways of expression I've tried might there yet be a way to succeed? We've all doubts which can dampen the brightest of days and send what we'd relate up in smoke, nagging fears that perhaps we've divulged a bit much and become part of somebodys' joke, but, the fire is real and it burns with a heat known to all who have looked at their art and said this is the manner I choose to reveal what it is that I store in my heart. |

The soul of a poet is a fragile thing.... I so understand and appreciate this poem. I think most poets feel exactly the same way. It's hard to put yourself out there sometimes but I wouldn't worry if I were you, your writing is superb. Ida |
