The houses of Brittany are afraid of people, they are stubborn as grandmothers, their yellow lichen speaks to the children and their windows open only in the beams of the sun too much tired after their journey from the star and friends misled in the South of France. The granite houses are afraid of the progress, it is for that that we enjoy them.... They are afraid of the rain, it is for that that they are solid... They like horses and darknesss... They never lie to those who build them... Their doors open as thoughts... |

I love this very much, dear Yann, and I love the personification of the granite houses, they are deeply perceived by the reader. So you call me stubborn ! Probably I am Absolutely beautiful! Love, Margherita |

Hello Ida, thank you for the comment, if you pass by Brittany someday i will show you plenty of them...There are very old houses 150 years old and were used by the farmers with tiny windows for keeping the temperatures, no heating then, sometimes very large...My parents bought one in 1970 and we spend our childness here during summer...I'm sure you would enjoy that... have a nice day yann |

Thank you Owl, that you appreciated the poem is really an honour for me, you write such delicious and beautiful things...I add horses to the poems because these houses belonged to farmers, but I could have add pigs and cows... have a nice day yann |

I especially loved the part about the horses. I could feel the farm feel to the poem and the houses. I also love cows and pigs and goats and cats and dogs and snakes and spiders and frogs and almost every creature that ever walked this earth (but not fleas and ticks and cockroaches!). - Owl |
