Today is a different day,
And I walk in a different way,
As the earth has a different lay,
And the sun a new ray.

Tonight is a different night,
And I walk in a different light,
As the earth is a different sight,
And the moon a new bright.

This year is a different year,
And I walk a different kind of queer,
As the earth has a different ear,
And the world a new way to hear.
