The Sense of Freedom ********************** Que Bella La Luna! She's opening a jar Letting out lightning bugs Twinkling like stars Crickets chirping Singing their songs While creatures of the night Stealthily move right along Lightning flashes In the darkening sky The wind's picking up For you and I First drops of rain Falling in the air Oh how wonderful Just to be there Suddenly hail Starts to come down Eat it quickly Before it melts on the ground Save some for later In the freezer upstairs You wanna give me booze? Hell No! I won't go there Moody Blues trippin' Come join me in the light Enough of the dark days And those long lonely nights . . Now . . Imagine what it's like Hooked on drugs and booze Giving up those freedoms It's up to you to choose You're always working the room Gotta cop Gotta cop Don't care about your dignity Cuz you just can't stop Someone save me Save me please A million foxhole prayers Down on my knees The cycle has ended All beat to sh*t I surrender all now Healing with wit "Ah! my Be-loved, fill the cup that clears |

What a wonderful ensemble of word jazz here, torn into by freshness and realness in the keeping. Great job here! Hang in there dear poet. Rich |
