The "wanting"--
lust is not enough
there must be a haunting
chill
an obsession birthed to burst
to dig deeper
and be still.

Discipline
of follicles
and the summoning
at will
to be silenced with a *snap*

snap

it is exactly that
for that is what I do.

Where science meets religion's awe
quantum ben mechanical
an expert in implosions, called,
like an exorcist.

Knowledge
is the very test
to put your questionings at rest--
a doctor and a damned priestess
in state
of sacred trust...

There are rules.
We follow them.
Orders
without questioning--
The place of mercy
if, at all--
it is beyond rhetorical
philosophy of sin.

Something happened to us, love.
"Here" I'm tapping on your skull.
I am the sword. I am the dove.
And trust is not a word I trust.

give your all to me

bequeath'd

and I'll perform a surgery

as havoc rules recovery:

I'll be here for you --

believe

and watch and feel it all reversed...

insignificance

a curse? Or birth

re-realized.

DearLady~

You may not have meant it to be ... but yet it is ... mine~

"And trust is not a word I trust."

havoc...is when the doctors make you cry..

I think this touches many of us, Karen, in more ways than one.

Serenity,

You are an incredible poet to be able to express this complexity with such momentum and thrust.  Each word and line are chosen and placed with such exactness that the phonemes and meaning plunge together to produce clarity and strength in personal comprehension.  (Gee, I wish I could say how your poetry affects me... I am just in awe of your skill and deep thinking.  You seem to think in multi-layers of sound, context, and creativity.)

hugs,

Serenity blaze,

Your:

“Where science meets religion's awe
quantum ben mechanical

like an exorcist.”

brought to mind special weapons.

Nice work.

Crazy insane poetry.

"Where science meets religion's awe
quantum ben mechanical
an expert in implosions, called,
like an exorcist."

This has to scare people.

Well...

I always thought science was just religion without the fear of anybody's god.
