Of course I have only one half of a mind; the other part stayed behind to complain that I don’t follow the rules of the game laid down in the days before calendars. Of course when I do love is made known and the merge of minds like I can’t believe this is the way the other half works to affirm and confirm the everlasting. Of course it’s not true that it’s meant to be for how can a half know it’s only in part when sealed are the edges with “gross sticky stuff” and no gaps allowed to breathe permanence. Of course when the one broke down into two the world said, “How sweet, she looks just like you” but of mother and father it cannot be true for mind makes the life and flesh just the means. Of course there are questions and ponderous thoughts; are sons not sons and a daughter not mine yet for sure they are if the mind so declared but sometimes we see it’s not really real. Of course this is me and not like you can know I’m incarnate and lost from my other part! Helen / 9 February 2008 |

Dear Helen, you write with such depth and beauty. It is difficult to blend the two halves, so that the response comes out harmoniously. Extended families are not easy to manage, to integrate (not sure if I got that right ...). But you hesitate and I understand there must be reasons beyond your heart's unmistakable wish and clarity. Love and hugs. Margherita |

Dear Margherita - I'm not yet blended well enough to give more clarity but there is another part or party somewhere that hints at things I cannot possibly know. I am slowly learning to trust it though. Thanks so much for reading. Love Helen |

Thanks Tom and yes, life does beget a sigh but even sighs have their own particular time, purpose and music. |

The sageness is wise, and the wisdom is sage. I can sense this one on the wind, touching bone and sinew... and rebeating a heart or two, in depth of a reality we think we can outrun. Of course! |

Sunshine - thank you! Now I feel like crying and I think it's because your reply is touching me. |
