Ethan’s Song I'll rock you in my arms, my son Never to be removed from my love I'll stroke your soft baby skin and hold you close to me I'll rock you in my arms, my son. I'll sing you a sweet lullaby, my son With a voice clear and pure I'll whisper in your ear and soothe you with my voice I'll sing you a sweet lullaby, my son. I'll rain kisses on your face, my son Soft lips caress your velvet cheek My breath will keep you warm and you will feel me always close I'll rain kisses on your face, my son. I'll always speak of your name, my son You have been shared with so many They carry you always in their hearts and you are forever here with me I'll always speak of your name, my son I have so much love for you, my son In my heart you will always be In my mind I see you always forever we are entwined I have so much love for you, my son --- Alison PS - this song was written for a friend a couple of years ago; it is not about a child of mine [This message has been edited by Alison (06-09-2008 07:45 AM).] |

Thank you friends, RDB, OW and my friend GS too - I'll be back to comment later and thank you more properly. Right now, I am here to assure Owl that the poem is not about my son. Thank you three - each of you is so beautiful to me. xooxxo A |

You 'sand' Ethan's song so softly ~ so sweetly. Your friend must have been deeply touched by such a loving, poetic offering. Alison, is it truly a song? ~ If not, it truly would make for a lovely lullaby. So good to read you, again! You know you're one of my favs! Love you! Linda xo |

Thank you, Alison. Sometimes I don't like being wrong. Other times I don't mind. This time I am very pleased to have been wrong. Thank you for reassuring me. I came in here with trepidation. - Owl |

Oh, dear Alison, this is so extremely touching and I can just hear the song, the melody comes naturally along, with the suggestions of the heart. So so beautiful!! Love and hugs. Margherita |
