Walk this lonely road by myself Life of bliss had, times changed Everything the world over mine but there was emptiness Searched to fill emptiness From light to abyss of darkness There's times thought had it all Soon realized more distant from the start sadness invaded,filled with emptiness the lies,the fear I became In the mouth of abyss I laid An empty soul,devil filled with pleasure In weakness turned to pray one thing which I never tried Give up myself,who had it all Dying mortal,giving up all Christ intervened,resurrection of spirit Found what was looking for Love,joy happiness filled my soul,this emptiness I became whole,living in Christ able to see,never alone Even in darkest times Christ with me,waiting Let go,him take control That what gave the devil control Flesh lives devil,spirit only Christ May have,may have walked alone in flesh in spirit,was never,never alone Christ's been there,been there waiting |

Thank you for the invitation and the remarks :-) It's amazing the feelings of one's life can bring so many words to write. This specific one was inspired by my own experience of God's love in my,once before broken,life. |
