I understand your whitewash waterfall of tears,
Flowing into the cavernous heart of your fears.
Sharing of pain in the damp, dank air;
Wondering why I even care.

Emotions swirling in cyclonic waters,
Drowning deep aches with wasted mind fodder.
Your mind and spirit has opened a vault,
On whose heart lies what happened?  ’Tis only fate’s fault.

Twas not romance but a connection came free,
A river of pain, churning the blood in me.
Not linked by gold ring nor bound by love’s rope
Just droplets of time, sharing together some hope.

Graeshine, I suspect that this is in reply to Karilea's poem on family - or perhaps, hers is in response to yours - or perhaps I am completely off track, but I don't think so.

Much enjoyed your poem.  Family is life-blood, no matter how small or extended.  You and your aunt are lucky to have each other.

Welcome again.

Graeshine2006,

Poetry does not have to rhyme.  I'm afraid this is rather forced.

Thank you Owl.  Actually, it was written a long time ago with a friend in mind who was going through much the same emotions as I was with my divorce.
