Music: “Angel of Monmouth” by Howard Baer
From the album entitled: Celtic Mystique

Artist: Udell

Song of Erin
by Linda L. Dowd

As gentle rains misted emerald grass,
on the hills of the bonnie Isle,
The blood be stirred ~ in both lad and lass,
in the gloamin’ of spring’s beguile.

As sun did set o’er the rolling hills,
lovers clung in a warm embrace.
With the Song of Erin in their young hearts,
joy shone from each blushing face.

With heather sweet, beneath their feet,
~ together they strolled hand in hand.
As rising moon kissed the evening sky,
a calm befell Erin’s land.

A love, so tender, lit up Irish eyes,
~ lilting laughter rang pure and true.
Young hearts were plump with hopeful dreams
and together they’d see life thru’.

As gentle rains misted emerald grass,
on the hills of the bonnie Isle,
Young blood be stirred ~ in both lad and lass,
in the gloamin’ of spring’s beguile.

There be no force on Earth that exceeds
that of the power of love.~ Linda L. Dowd

Sweet Linda Angel, once again you took my hand and made me feel part of the wonderful scenery, singing the magical song together with you.
Your heart is overflowing with love, you are so beautifully inspired.

It is a treat every time when I step into your poems and live the wondrous emotions you share.

Love and hugs.

There is nothing wrong with you writing introspective poetry. It's a good way for one to get to understand ~ and express ~ one's self!

Thank you for reading my poem and for your kind show of appreciation.
