TIDES OF THE HEART Like the relentless tides Of the moon and the oceans So flow, the tides of love And feelings and emotions. Love can come to us all In one great rushing torrent Or it can ebb and flow away In one fleeting moment. And with the tides of the heart There is no way to forecast Which of the pools may turn to dust Or which ones will always last. Some people dream of riches And some base their dreams on fame But some know that with friends and love Their life will never be the same. Some go their whole life through Never to know true feelings Too caught up in the rush Of their wheelings and dealings. And with the tides of the heart There is no way to forecast Which of the pools may turn to dust Or which ones will always last.
