My Best Friend Madonna

Hello, my name is Vinny
and I sell cars in the City.
Right now its not very
pretty whats going on.
I used to sell lots of big
SUV's and gas guzzling cars;
one time I sold an Escalade
for $57,000 fully loaded and
you can imagine my commisions.
If you go far enough back
consumers have bought homes
for less than that amount.
Today in this environmentally
correct world lots of people
want to buy Hybrids, and those
things aren't cheap you know.
College students of today
have been properly indoctrinated
to green up the planet, and many
ride buses and trains and
bicycles to serve that master.
When gasoline hits five dollars
a gallon I might buy one of those
Italian Moto Guzzi's or a Vespa
but the only problem with that is one
of those big trucks hauling a million
dollar load of gasoline might run me
off the road or run over me, and my
best friend Madonna wouldn't like that.

Cute James,

Are you sure your best friend Madonna wouldn't like that?

Yo James,

Vinny is my kind of person.

Go head Vinny.  I gotta get me one of those Moto Guzzi's.  The wave of the future.

Sweet, funny and sad, isn't it.  We are getting close to that $5.00 mark and I am looking at my bike (the pedal type).

Good one, James.

there is no way in the world i could ride my bike now...way too much smoking cigs and being out of shape for so long it hurts to ride up to the corner.

But yaknow, we poor people have to make due, if that means not buying food in order to get gas to go to work.
