late at night, I like to get cozy, with my comfy blanket,
Laying upon my couch, chips and pop, snacks, relaxing, retreat.
Once I am reclined, I begin looking for, my favorite channel,
Old black and white movies, some full of color, but all are classics.
I see the women, so classy, dressed, with respect and charm,
Men with morals, no nude scenes, didn't need them,
No curse words, words of witty charm, flirtations,
Oh, the music, I could dance, romantic glances.
Some are funny, some sad, happy, great stories,
The narrator appears, right before each one, telling why it was picked.
If only I could press, the button and escape, into time with them.
You know you're in love, when you can't fall asleep, because reality is finally better than your dream~Dr.Seuss

This is so true! Lovely poem, really takes me there
If you don't mind subtitles, give a few Bollywood movies a try. Most of them are pure family fare with beautiful colors, music and dance. Lots of drama and always a happy ending.

You sound like me, RA. I love the old movies for the same reasons. My favorite is the 1939 version of Wuthering Heights. I can't count how many times I've watched it and cried every time. Ida
