it feels you have put some easy on
some button shirt unbuttoned
and friendly old dog okie dokie

I guess I have become an ok tree
to be in your back yard safe place
by the well of secret dreams

sipping the same water of maybe
when you do the window glasses
from another early morning

just wondering of the sound
of my cowboy boots on old wood boards
and if my long leg steps are longer

than yours in your new someday leather
