I wrote this while noticing a flag flying over the debris in one of the 'homes' left after the devastion of a recent tornado while watching the news coverage--it was thought-provoking, to say the least. stripes stripes struggle silently in the sullen sky whispering waves of emotion waving bravely, wafting high mixing mem’ries like a merlin’s potion blue field with stars dyed white colored with the blood of the brave battlefields with honor of a long ago fight others to care for—others to save now flying hope over nature’s call sad the destruction fills their souls whisp’ring the tune of passion to all encouraging dreams, aspiring goals and the hand of the unseen is seen for all, for all have seen what was has been [This message has been edited by steavenr (05-28-2008 03:11 PM).] |
