"Graduation ‘08"

1

Michael-
My friend
My confidant
My brother

Four
Years
Have
Past

In our French-bred friendship

Four years
Of laughter
Of smiles
And of tears

Four years
Of angst
And four years
Of joy

But more importantly
Four years I’ll never,
Ever forget

2

Come June the 6th-
When we stride
Side by side,
I’ll gladly surrender
Myself-

To the Pomp and Circumstance
Of Commencement

Knowing you’re there,
Just like freshman year,
To stand by my side
A true friend
At heart

Closing this chapter
in our young, small town lives-
while sporting
Polyester Blue Gowns
And constricting caps

Dreaming and Proclaiming
What our futures hold

To be able to have such a wonderful and enduring friendship ~ says a great deal about you as a person ~ and as a friend, yourself!

May your graduation day be yet another positive step in your life journey! Dare to dream! ~ and work towards achieving them! This is an exciting time in your life! ~ Growth, exploration, adventure, maturing, attaining, learning, accomplishing... Enjoy! Have fun! ~ and continue to be your sweet self.

btw, this would make for one fine graduation gift for your Michael! May you continue to be friends for a lifetime!

Here is a big congratulatory hug for each of you!

Thanks guys,

I appreciate your warm replies. And you're right it is great to have friends (like Michael) in your life to brighten your day. I'm glad you enjoyed my trite attempt to express my pre-graduation emotions.

oh, and la terre de ange I'll think about presenting my little piece to Mikey.

Humbly,
Jillian
