COLOURS
16 July 2006

Earth mysteries glint in the warmed bricks,
and soft-eyed passers-by
reflect the palette sparkles,
and my once-upon-a-times
slip, comforted, into walled secrets
in spots of
russet and gold and brown and green,
softly in the morning sun.

Okay, here I am searching high and low for a poem of yours to review, and whala! One magically appears. How timely is that?!

Hmmm…

I’m thinking we’re at an old rustic sidewalk café,
Languishing over our morning brew as we contemplate,
Hushed remembrances of days past.

Amid the falling pages of nature’s saga.

What a glorious setting your soul invokes.

Beautifully done dear poetess.
Your poem had every one of my favorite colours.

Diana! I saw that you were back when I read some of the replies that you have been writing.
I was keeping my eyes open for a post by you and just discovered this golden oldie!

Hope all is well with you!

Giving you a warm, loving, welcome-back hug,

Lovely.  I feel like we just shared a coloring book and were quiet as friends.

How lovely it is to be back amongst my old friends again, and to be making such good new ones too!

Thank you Kacy, and for your Lippizaner poem.  You know, without my having to say, how elated that made me feel.  Flicka has been in Heaven 6 years now, on 28 April 2008.  Time doesn't heal.

Richy, even your responses to poems are magical, let alone your poems themselves!

Thank you, yann, to you too.

Thanks, Karen, and lovely to be back.  And what a welcome back I am having from you all!

Thanks, Linda!  And a great big hug back!

Thank you Alison.  What a beautiful concept!
