Angelo’s cousin Robert went to prison when he was eighteen. Robert was Sally’s sister’s boy. He was born in Nazi Germany. He had a Swastika on his birth certificate. Robert was a good looking kid when he went to prison. Sure, he was a bad actor, a menace to society. He had to be sent away. He was too good looking for his own good. The guys in prison liked Robert a lot. They gave him a case of Hepatitis “B”. Robert was dead by twenty-eight of liver disease. The family never forgave the prison system for letting that happen to Robert. Bobby |

Thanks dear Yann, It would be great if it was just a story. Then my nephew would be still with us. Bobby |

Dear Robert E. Jordan, I'd consider cutting the last line. As usual, a fine poem. BobK. |

Bob K, Thanks for the kind words on the poem. The last strophe stays, family is family. Bobby |

Thanks dear Alison, In truth, Robert did not have a good life at all. I think his only happy time was probably during his short crime spree, and that's a pity. Bobby |

Thanks dear BugBuggy, You speak the truth. The youth of our country do need a break. Did you ever notice the young people here do all the really heavy lifting, like going to war. Thanks for your kind condolences. Bobby |

Life is such a hard lesson for some. Man's inhumanity to man is often astounding. Ida |
