To the Poets of Pip

Excuse me,
  Oh, please pardon me,
  (a napkin at my chin).

Your delicious words
do linger ever temptingly
  on these eager lips.

I ravenously devour
every verse
  and every line,

every rhythm
  and every rhyme
         in sheer delight.

Savoring with pleasure
  all the meter,
and the measure
that flow on to
         the page beneath your pen.

I thank your for the pleasure
of your very tasty treasures.
that fill my soul
with each poetic bite.

Written in fun
take it as pun
but sincerely meant within my heart
sharyn

Yo dear Sharyn,

This works fairly well.  I’d drop the “And” in the line:

“And I thank your for the pleasure”

It’s really not needed.

Love Bobby

To each of you  my gratitude for stopping by and enjoying my bit of verse.  I had an attack of whimsy and couldn't help but pen this in appreciation for all the wonderful poetry and the kindness shown me here.

This is an incredible place to move us to delightful thought and yes, sometimes whimsy.
I am so pleased, that it moved you to write so.  Thank you, for being here too.

I feel the same way.  I don't come by here but once every three or four months.  I think the diet is too rich for me.  I start reading and can't stop.

haha, that was cute ... the napkin at your chin!

You expressed your pleasure in a very original way. Enjoyed it much.

You are part of this reciprocal joy to share and savor and comment poetry. So thank you too!

Love and joy.
