Earth Song

Sunrise

In the tiny, translucent droplets of water
shimmering from the soft touch of breeze,

morning dew –
kissing everything formally caressed by night –
suddenly bursts forth in golden, fiery splendor;
sunrise reflected . . . countless times,

Dawn

What is it heard,
soft on an awakening soul? . . .

A bird, and then more,
each throwing forth his song
till the sky is full of the glory. . .
of a new day’s. . .life;

and a baby cries for it’s mother’s milk,
hushes as the nourishment comes,

Earth

awakened to the music of ancient songs,
to the touch that causes the soul to shiver
with joy, anticipation . . . love.

Love – lingers

and the Earth . . .

Sings . . .

Yo Jwesley,

I like this.  It follows the pattern of Virginia Woolf's "Waves".

Dear Wesley, this is a wonderful read and I read it in the right moment, just when the hush of night recedes to bring the sounds of a new day.

Enjoyed this very much, absolute beauty! It makes me want to say a prayer of gratitude for the gift of a new day.

Love,
Margherita
