When life is done and spirit moves into a different sphere I’ll celebrate completion of this experiment and be completely in the knowing that soul’s inbred desire to touch, taste, smell, no draw card for the stubborn. See me there hands on hips below two pouting lips and an unblinking stare into love’s excuses and picture then the walk that leaves no trail to follow. Call my name three times to try again at life but know the seed of my rebuff is growing in my ears and when the time is right will blossom into firm intent to not ever hear. Speak of love and touchy-touch, the taste of bottled wine, and, oh, how the flowers smell when brought up close and personal and then see the words bounce back from the wall of stubbornness. And what is one day said will one day come to be! Helen / 17 May 2008 |

helen, was touched by your poem and my paraphrased thoughts of others that came to the surface of my mind when i read it...your poem is an important link in connecting those thoughts and i thank you for sharing. some see the world as it is and ask, why? while others dream dreams of things that never were and ask, why not? as long as people's dreams, are put into words, one day those dreams, too, will come to be! |

Dear Helen, I truly admire how you feel about life. How wonderful it is that you share it with us. Like the one's before us, once we're gone, the poet will live on. In the tapestry of words that will never be done. Now no more speak of life being done please. You are not allowed, to leave us (lol). Rich |

rvw - "as long as people's dreams, are put into words, one day those dreams, too, will come to be!" I have no doubt about that whatsoever but we just have to be patient because it could take a lifetime or two. This I know but still my soul says, "Why not now today?" Thank you so much for commenting. Helen |

Rich - thank you kindly. I've no intention of opting out just yet but I was just deciding how to feel about a return run. Nope, not for me unless, of course, it's part of destiny but I choose to believe that no one else but me has the power to decide how best to live my life - my eternal life. I could be wrong though. Thanks again. Helen |

Very interesting and as usually very beautifully written, dear Helen! Yes I too believe that we have great power to shape our lives and even our journey home. So that is why we have to be very careful in thinking our thoughts. The more we leave out fear, the better equipped we are to LIVE and to pass on when the moment comes. "Why not now?" Indeed! Give it a try! I know you can. I send you much love and big hugs. Margherita ![]() |

Enjoyed your reflections. I often feel that way myself, as if the fairytale cake life feeds us better passed by. So I totally agree with your nose in air rejection of such lies. sharyn "God made you as you are |
