On an old photo
of the brothers Lumière,
you knit the present,
the red wool
slides between your fingers
to make a pullover,
This one which i wear warmly
to be forgot
that as you and your sunny hair
I shall make one day too
left of past.

Yo Yann,

I'm afraid that this is not at all clear in English, at least not to me.

I'm sure the theme is good however.

Hi Yann this is what this means to me
"Crossing this old photo
from the brothers Lumière,
you weave the present,
the red clear wool
slips between your fingers
to make a pullover,
This one which i wear warmly"
You find an old photograph
In it someone close to you is weaving you a red sweater
you are wearing that same sweater today

"to be forgot
that as you and your sunny hair
i shall make too one day
part of past."
And you want them to know just as the photograph causes you to remember always,
one day a photograph of you doing something will bring memories to someone else.

That sound rather long-winded and complicated.  Your words are so eloquent. I love reading your simple imagings of important life happenings.

I'm sorry Bobby it is not very clear, you know that english is not my first language, i suppose we can cross a photo with the look, I suppose too we can weave the present by letting it possessing us...I'm sorry it didn't sound english....

Sharyn I think you are a very helpful girl cause you deciphered perfectly and exactly the meaning of the poem.
All you say is what I tried to mean except I didn't know the person on the photography...It was a little red blond air girl weaving a pullover ....Yes indeed I will be watched like her some day, being dead but present on an old photo...
Perhaps there are grammar mistakes but i'm not so good to correct it, I apologize...

Yo Yann,

Hang in there, your English is coming right along.  Keep posting your good poems.
