She hangs it on the line to dry
not straight but crossing over
so one day in the knowing
she’ll find that love’s free flow
never died up at the source.

But the soul down to the flesh
must one day cease to be
for life like the noonday sun
penetrates belief
and relentlessly obliterates
all reminders of the times.

And she thinks to fight the sun
but what armour has true love
when not partnered in desire
and left alone to cry?

She hangs it on the line to dry
and I wonder if she’ll know
when the time is right
to bring it back inside!

Our hearts let us know, when the time is right
to take off the clothes pins, and wear it yet, anew,
right Helen?

Another Gem.

Happy Mother’s Day Dear Friend.

"And she thinks to fight the sun
but what armour has true love
when not partnered in desire
and left alone to cry?"  such heart rending lines, these verses remind me of my mother left alone now that my father has died.  She too hangs her clothes on the line.  Pleasure to read.

Thanks, everyone!

I may be "alone" but when Mother's Day comes around, I know there is love.  I know it all the time anyway as do they but there's a part in the heart that's missing something and that's the part that writes.

Blessed are those who are able to 'air' their thoughts and feelings through the 'vented' word! ~ and you have put them on the 'line' so well!

Warm hug of love,
Linda
