American’s Might Here I am an American, proud to be born without hate So lucky to have many opportunities and grow up great Our military is so unmatched As long as we’re not dispatched To so many places that might determine their fate I am reminded of a vet coming back after a length Displaying his pride and his much improved strength While receding down the hall Our instructor gave a loud call Apparent that his training was quite entrenched While our services may each poke fun and make jokes Of the other’s limitations, uniforms or ‘common-dotes’ We all share the same mission Protecting freedom’s permission To make mistakes ourselves and help other poor blokes The right to live in a great society is not simply given But earned by lives who are mourned by the smitten Not to endeavor to this task Means complying to any that ask For we have no option but to do or die and stop livin’ Thanks to the forces of American power and might The men and women brave who stand up and fight Without them would be no USA So to them we cheer for they Deserve more than our thanks each and every night |
