Dowd Breathe heartfelt words in to mine ears, Bring pleasures with soft touches fine. Place thy lips in sweet surrender, Upon this cup of Eros wine. Walk with me among the jasmine, Down paths where love forever springs. Where all is fresh, and pure, and simple, Where spirits soar and each heart sings. Look deep within this soul of mine, As thou dost gaze in to mine eyes. Behold blue pools of crystal waters, And pluck the fruits of paradise. Take mine hand and lead me onward, To elysian fields at heaven’s gate. Where we be one in vernal pastures, And unwrapped dreams lie in await. Breathe heartfelt words in to mine ears, Bring pleasures with soft touches fine. Place thy lips in sweet surrender, Upon this cup of Eros wine. Bobby ~ Good morning! I am pleased that you enjoyed it. I posted 14 of my poems with music and my voice recording in Open 41 and have thoroughly enjoyed 'orchestrating' them. I have gifted my family and friends with CDs that I made and I am thrilled at their responses. Thank you for your suggestion. I had vascillated between using 'my' and 'mine' ~ and 'you' and 'thee' and 'thou', however I thought that the Elizabethan era would be a more romantic theme for this poem of love.
