A Thousand Seas The candles burn low into puddles warm Engulfing me in sighs of half lumen hours Copiously full, emotions as a thousand seas Extend the brink of what I hold so dearly Is it fear that amasses into waves? Condensed to rise in overpowering glaze Have I not drown, anchored in the surge? Flooded with desire, enough to know the signs As if a bobble surfing on the crest of far more depth Would time be kind? The gravity of earth spends magnetic voice upon me Rocking in harmony with my thoughts The candles burn low into puddles warm Holding my gaze while my mind fills with rain For you spoke to me in laughter like music A thousand seas to sate the desert where I’ve been Copyright Kkh 4/30/08 |

I tried to copy a favorite part but it seems each sentence stands alone and could well be its own poem. Lovely, Kathleen. Thank you! |

A thousand seas to sate the desert where I've been....wow, I do like that one. If not for the weather's might upon the furrowed brow, would one awake to the chill of that which dampness carries upon a shaded morn. You stirred a feather or two.....My limp, lifeless dangling appendages... AKA arms. |
