my skin has memories
tattoos with stitches

but I allow the healing
to stay in it's fragile

like a heartbeat hollow
in glass with no edges

hold me up to the light
and look through my amber

know the color of tomorrow

I don't even know what to say. Maybe I am reading my emotions into this one ... but isn't that what we do with poetry? You write beautiful and touch this inside place I call my heart.

"tattoos with stitches" -- love this phrase and how it reminds us that there are residual physical remains to all our past (at least, that's how I took it)
