You can get addicted to people just like any addictive, And overdose, recover and battle on needlessly for years, But the thing is, unlike drugs, people are dismissive, That’s when I realised all of my fears, Now I’m in rehab, trying to forget you, But what can you do when your broken heart won’t let you? But you have to draw the line, you have to recover, Run back to protection, like a child to its mother, But I still get the feeling u feel something for me, Oh lord, you blessed me with eyes but its with my mind I must see, How pathetic I am, misreading signs, I’m just one of millions with ruined minds, Im in a spin, im outta control Im falling into a private hell, and I have no foothold, Crying out in vain, Standing in the rain, A rain of my own crippling depression, Im sorry, its something I should have mentioned, A long time ago when you sed you loved me, But now like a dove, you have set me free, But im weighed down with my responsibility, To forget all between us, all that’s teared us apart, Please go of my fragile bleeding heart. Memories area like scars, they haunt my soul, Or whats left of it, im not even whole, This is enough, I want it to end, This is enough, im saying goodbye, I should have expected our love to die Now I must struggle on alone, Tormented by the fact that im fading away , I may never again see the light of day Feel the breeze ruffle through my hair All this cos you forgot how to care. I am a shadow now. |

Welcome aboard!!! This is a very true piece as many have shared these feelings. A broken heart is a fragile thing and time will mend it. Enjoyed reading this, could relate to it very well as I just had my heart broken. |

Welcome Assassin, Yes it it does have a sadness to it, but many of us here have been there & are still around. Time is a great healer and although in the here & now it seems like the pain will last forever, it won't...look for the light at the end of the tunnel,...Take care & I look forward to seeing more of your posts.
