Slip-Slivered Moon
~*Marge Tindal*~

~Silky soft shush of a slip-slivered moon
Sashays silently o'er silver-tinged sky
Soon lovers seek this serenade of swoon
Silkiest soft shush of a slip-slivered moon~

~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~

Am I supposeed to read this 3 times real fast? It sounds like a tongue twister but it's an apt poetic description of that slivered orb.

LOL~
You gals just reminded me of my own
giggles this morning~

Driving over to keep little Landry Leigh this morning,
there sat that sliver of moon, just hanging
in the new morning sky~

The words flew ... and I walked in the house
looking for a pen to write them down~
Saying them over and over to not forget them,
I did laugh at the 'slippery' feel of them~

Glad to know it will make a good 'read aloud' piece~

Wow, read this one slowly or you'll get your tongue all twisted up and have to go to the emergency room. Well done, Marge.

I'm a sucker for alliteration! ~ and the moon! So in my books, this poem is a double hitter!
