Reverie Reverie is a source of pleasure when boredom places contently setting in like rigor mortis. She said 'mom, those were better days' I told her there will always be days of life where other days are better. Reverie you see. Fond remembrance of an old life. She doesn't understand it yet how many lives we go through in one lifetime alone, how many times we die and are reborn into a different scene one level to the next with places in between where we sit dangling legs off the edge of watching ships go by dipping toes into reverie. |

Reverie indeed. There are reasons for looking back on all of the good but acknowledging our lessons, as well, is also smart. |

Oddly, I had the same thought process in one of my older poems on here...but I am too lazy to look it up.. Very nice. "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

Wonderful...with every change comes a new life...for example if we start to appreciate people or things we never appreciated before our thoughts and our responses are clearer...James |

Reverie, what a beautful expression of those days we turn to what used to be. To appreciate the whole of our lives we each need a little reverie. Exquistly written. Thanks for sharing sharyn |

Dear Passing shadows, This is a good up-lifting poem, and that’s good. Reveries can be good, and can be bad. The good ones bring a smile, while the bad ones can drag you down. In general, I try to avoid them for fear of getting lost. BTW, this is a well written poem that contains a lot of truth. That’s a good thing. Love Bobby |
