Children Children are God’s gift to man That make the whole heart glad , For the joy of every boy and girl Is a joy to every mum and dad. The wondrous joy a child can bring, Down through the dark ages shine, For of all the gifts of God to man Surely none can be as fine. Each tiny tot from time of birth Brings us all a joy untold, To every mum and dad alike Whether either young or old. God has smiled on you and me To give us kids we hold so dear, To love and cherish down that long long road That stretch from year to year. So go down this night on bended knees Before you go to sleep, And sincerely pray to our good Lord Our children safe to keep |
