Howard nudged the key out of Eve’s lap

and put on his Laker cap

she didn’t budge

it was obvious her nap was well needed

if only she had heeded his advice

they may have conceded

                                [picking up the phone]

it's the least i can do

Albert wonders, did they push Howard’s hot fudge sundae too hard?

                                [looks at the postcard]

what an adventure

better than Die Hard, he thought

only this time Eve got caught

why didn’t she play her trump card

they would’ve played cards

                       Howard ….. hi …

                       how’s Eve?

                       still distraught?

                       look,  if it means anything to her

                       tell her that i think she did everything possible to save the day

                       there was just no way

                       she could’ve  predicted your heart held enough True Lies

                       to keep your excitement  a surprise

                       uh huh ….

                      as much time as she needs

                      i’ll handle the paperwork

                      i just wish i could do more
