Beyond Today's Recall

Did you know,
in the dreamscape of things
when the light is just right,
I see your shadow blending with mine,
have wondering thoughts always,
needing to know
wanting to share...

Can you hear me murmuring,
feel the sighing of my breath,
the pulsing of my heart
whenever I am in your arms?

I am always one thought away from you,
trying to bridge that gap
before the night settles in.

I am forever but a look beyond tomorrow,
a blossom in full
giving in to need,
always in your hold, waiting out time,
hopelessly weaving my words.

I've yet to dance with you,
walk in the rain, or in the moonlight,
or close the night upon the day with you.
If I stopped right now, I will never know
the real of you, but I will have known
the love I feel, whenever I look
into your eyes beyond today's recall.

sounds like a keeper
when words as such evoke such devotion

deep inside my heart,
i have these longings.. the longing to save the last dance for someone who's been gone so long..
to walk in the rain holding his hands,
and sleep, and wake beside him..
and your poem just made me feel sooo right.
i love it.
thank you for such wonderful thoughts.

forgive and forget,
live without regrets.

Maureen,

One of your finest, I think, but that may be difficult to say, because you write so well!  While I stopped by, I wanted to thank you for your comment on my poem.

My summer has been going quickly and almost spent, as I usually begin preparing my classrooms in a few weeks.

I hope your year goes well, too!

Whoops!  (I'm getting a little rusty from my absence from the Blue Pages.  I wanted to save this!  Click!  "Saved!"

Have a terrific day and fourth of July weekend!

Nostalgic and aching, but lovely.  I am hoping this isn't a current one and that you are not in such pain.

This 'write' is quite superb!

very serious and long-sustained
applause for this grand-fine 'penning'!
