It is in the moments of quiet That I hear my heart the most I'm a silent dreamer I guess I've always been To afraid to shout out the words My heart about to break Release me...foolish dreams Time has not been a kind friend Light and dark continue Continue to play their favorite game Colors surrounding me, flashing before my eyes Is this confusion...peace....I simply do not know I listen for the words not said Perhaps those words are better left unsaid I wait for sweet release Knowing it may never come What am I hiding from Why do I continue to run long after I'm tired There is no point in reaching For something that was never there I stare at the bare wall As I hear the clock ticking It serves to remind That I lost something that was never mine "Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away" [This message has been edited by Aimster (02-02-2008 07:38 PM).] |

I stare at the bare wall As I hear the clock ticking It serves to remind That I lost something that was never mine ... Good writing - it's hard to see part of our lives move on and away. You write about how it feels very well. A |

That poems resonates how I feel about life sometimes. Nice to know I'm not alone feeling such things and to see the feeling crafted into verse. |
