There you came,
wandering into the room,
disrupting my reading,

At first, your comments,
allowed my anger to burn,
being the lady I am,

I decided to not allow it,
to bother me in the least,
so I fell in love with you.



Those Irish eyes of yours,
witty charm, sense of humor,
you became the subject,

Not only of my desire,
but of the many stories,
I would soon write.

It was best for you and I,
for me to die alone,
than to never love again,

Your love remained,
in my eyes, my heart,
until my last breath.
