 It is not the love that we seek, but the love that finds us, having tasted both, I find love is not love captured, but the love that has touched, and been set free, For we often wonder of that love, our minds filled with brief moments, no restraints, for this, I have come to understand, is the beauty of love, without ties that bind, Love free to come and go, like the days of sunshine, days of rain, To think I had perceived it all wrong, after all this time, loves beauty is held, within the freedom of love, love like that of a bird, or butterfly, Landing briefly upon your heart, filling it with happiness and laughter, to one day get up and fly away, Loves death comes, when we choke it, smother it with this and thats, then it is no longer love, Only just an existance, a title, a ring, a paper document, signed with the best of intentions, The best love, love yet to be discovered, love that came, Left with goodness between both, so that happy smiles, could come back one day. Out of all the things in the world, love cannot be put in a box, love is more beautiful, than what we have painted it to be, love gives us wings to fly, love can never be more than what we make it, when it is simple, love glows, in the purest of light, feeling your heart with warmth, warmth that never looses it flames, an unstoppable fire, that never goes out. When we hold a butterfly in our hands, we gaze upon its beauty, if we clasp it with both hands, we close the world around it, until all the air it knew as its world, disapates, depletes, then it dies in our hands, how beautiful is love now? killed for our selfishness. Love for the time you have, love it and set if free, love is a moment, treasure it, think of it often, and be happy to have known it. true. Love is like a bird. we catch it. we hold it. we cage it. we play it. we let it free...within our room. If we lose it, we cry. We miss it. Then we find, ah, so many spring birds. then we happy again. Love your poem. it is beautiful. |

Good write, Though love is the focal point here, I feel it does not need to be repeated so much. Let the power of your adjectives hurl "love" into the readers minds, go deeper into the the emotion, we know this is a poem of love, the rest should grow from that with differentiating images that relates to loves. -good luck, -ocean |
